WDIO: Marty blasts Pawlenty

DFL Lawmakers React to Pawlenty's Plan

In reaction to Governor Tim Pawlenty's plan, DFL Lawmakers said, Pawlenty and his party failed the state of Minnesota. They warned that his actions will lead to higher property taxes, fewer hospitals and worse healthcare.

Senator John Marty compared the governor to a, "schoolyard bully," who is "picking on the sickest, most vulnerable people in our state." Marty blasted  Pawlenty for cutting General Assistance Medical Care (GAMC), a program set up to serve the poorest of the poor.
